American Sign Language Info Session

Friday, January 21, 4-5 p.m.

Students can learn about the characteristics and culture of the American Sign Language (ASL) community. This event encourages students to become more aware and get a better understanding of ASL and its importance. 

This event is sponsored by World Languages, Literatures and Cultures and the Language Resource Center.

 

Student Senate General Assembly

Sunday, January 23, 6-7 p.m.

General Assembly meetings are open to the entire student body and take place in Hansen Student Center. 

 

“La Salsa Cubana Rueda de Casino” screening

Thursday, January 27, 7-8 p.m.

The film will be screened through the ongoing international film series this semester. The screening will take place in Beckmann Auditorium and will be introduced by Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies Jessie Dixon-Montgomery and Assistant Professor of Japanese Chisato Kojima. Students interested in catching other films can find the schedule here

 

Posse Plus Retreat

Saturday, January 29, 9am-6pm

The Posse Plus Retreat is  an annual event sponsored by IWU’s Posse Scholars and the Posse Foundation and will take place in Hansen Student Center. RSVPs can be submitted here and must be turned in by January 24. Questions about the event can be directed to the Dean of Students.
