The Illinois Wesleyan women’s wrestling team took home 12 collective wins at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship hosted by Elmhurst University on Jan. 25, 2026. The Titans placed sixth out of seven teams, but they didn’t walk away empty-handed, earning three All-CCIW honors.
First-years Angel Hill and Jillian Giller and sophomore Alivia Davey took home the awards. Davey and Giller finished second in their weight classes—207 and 145, respectively—and Hill picked up a third-place finish in the 207 class.
This is the second year the team has competed in CCIW competition and the first time the team has picked up multiple conference honors. In her first season last year, current sophomore Sifa Feruzi earned All-CCIW in the 180 weight class. Feruzi took fifth this year against Elmhurst opponent Mallory Matuga.
First-year Kennedy Murray also landed in the top five in the 160 weight class.
First-year Alila Beck earned the CCIW Respect Award, which is given to one athlete from each school based on their character and positive contributions to their team, both in and out of competition.
The Titans will take to the mat next on Feb. 7 and 8 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. They will face the home team, Augustana, as well as other CCIW matchups: North Central College, Carthage College and Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference opponent Aurora University.
