On April 14, 2026, Illinois Wesleyan University hosted its annual “All In for Wesleyan Day,” bringing together students, alumni, faculty and supporters for a day dedicated to fundraising and community engagement. Since its launch in 2013, the initiative has become a central tradition on campus, focused on supporting student success and institutional growth.
This year’s campaign raised an impressive $3,661,361 from 2,184 gifts, reflecting strong participation across the Wesleyan community. For the sixth consecutive year, a generous alumnus contributed an additional $1 million through the Million Dollar Student Success Challenge after the community reached its first $1 million in donations, effectively doubling the impact of early contributions.
Funds raised during the event support a range of essential programs, including the Wesleyan Fund, General Student Scholarship Fund, Parent Fund, McLean County Scholarships, Annual Scholarships, and Giving Circle Scholarships. These resources play a critical role in addressing students’ financial needs and expanding access to educational opportunities.
A key feature of the event was a series of competitive challenges and leaderboards designed to encourage participation. In the Class Years Leaderboard, the Class of 1993 led all alumni groups by raising $271,625, followed by the Classes of 1984 and 1968. Athletic programs also demonstrated strong engagement, with women’s tennis and men’s tennis significantly exceeding their fundraising goals, each surpassing $50,000, far beyond their initial $1,000 targets.
The Giving Circle Leaderboard highlighted contributions from specific academic and community groups. The Nursing and Health Sciences Giving Circle ranked first, raising $11,350, followed by the Monica Taylor Memorial Giving Circle and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Giving Circle. Meanwhile, affinity groups also played an important role, with the Council for IWU Women leading that category with over $32,700 raised, alongside strong contributions from the Pride Alumni Community and the Alumni of Color Collective.
Throughout the day, the campus atmosphere remained energetic and interactive. Students actively participated in social media initiatives, creating and sharing videos that featured trivia questions about the university. These efforts helped increase engagement and visibility for the campaign.
In-person events further contributed to the day’s success. A campus coffee bar provided a social gathering space, while the “All In Game Show” brought together students and staff for friendly competition. Students and some staff competed in activities such as threading pasta onto spaghetti, team-based cup games, and bowling challenges, with prizes awarded to winners.
“All In for Wesleyan” once again demonstrated the strength of the university’s community and its commitment to collective giving. The event not only raised substantial funds but also reinforced a shared sense of purpose, highlighting the impact of collaboration in supporting current and future students.
