Illinois University Wesleyan students should take note of numerous events being held across campus and Bloomington-Normal in the upcoming weeks.
SSC Clothing Swap
On Nov. 19, 2025, the Sierra Student Coalition (SSC) will host the SSC Clothing Swap from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Vinyard Room. Students can bring clothes that they no longer want for donation or to exchange. Donation bins will be located in freshman dorms and outside the Dugout prior to the event as well.
Finals week
IWU’s last week of the fall semester is Dec. 7-13. Dec. 8 is Reading Day, an extra day off classes for students to study and prepare for the long week ahead. While finals week isn’t as fun as other events at IWU, it is followed by a campus favorite: winter break, which runs from Dec. 13 through Jan. 7.
Paws & Relax
On Dec. 8, 2025, the IWU School of Business & Economics (SoBe) will host their Paws & Relax event in the lobby of State Farm Hall from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Students can take a break from studying to meet some furry friends and unwind before finals.
