March 12, 2021 – 10:15 p.m.

A student reported a suspicious individual who appeared to be a non-student wandering the Munsell Hall parking lot and looking into vehicles.

March 14, 2021 – 9:50 p.m.

Another student reported a suspicious individual in the Munsell Hall parking lot. The student stated that they saw the individual walking around and then witnessed him strike the window of a vehicle with his elbow. The student then honked at the individual who, as a result, ran north through the parking lot onto Main Street and left campus. Campus Safety searched the area and were not able to locate the individual. The student was able to provide video footage for Campus Safety to review, but it did not show the suspect’s face. The suspect was wearing blue jeans and a white hooded sweatshirt. Campus Safety sent a safety alert to all students via email urging them to continue to be vigilant about their safety and aware of their surroundings. Anyone who observes suspicious activity on or around campus should call (309) 556-1111.

*Reminder to all students that Titan Transport is available to give you a ride Monday through Thursday 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. If you are in need of an escort outside of these hours you may call Campus Safety. The Dean of Students Office and Counseling are always available to assist any students who would like to further process these safety concerns.
