Practice Virtual Interviews with Country Financial

Jan. 29 2-4 p.m.

Students can sign up to practice their interview skills with a recruiter from Country Financial in Bloomington. Time slots are 40 minutes long and will provide enough time for feedback. Interviews are open to all majors and years. The interviews will be held virtually via zoom, but it is recommended for students to come to the Hart Career Center in-person if available. Students can sign up for a time slot on Handshake or if there aren’t any available slots email jsheetz@iwu.edu to request additional times. 

CAB presents “Pride Bingo”

Jan. 29 5 p.m.

The Campus Activities Board and IWU’s Pride Alliance worked together and came up with CAB x Pride BINGO. This will be a virtual BINGO event along with a lip sync battle both hosted by Drag Queen Monique Heart from Rupaul’s Drag Race. There will also be opportunities for students to win prizes throughout the night. If students want to attend they must RSVP with this form

Posse students to host annual retreat

Jan. 30 2-4:30 p.m. 

The Posse students will lead workshops on racial justice. The retreat will be virtual this year and open to all IWU community members. Students, faculty, and staff can register here.

Student Senate holds general assembly 

Jan. 31 6 p.m.

Students are encouraged to attend the General Assembly meetings for the Student Senate where they can voice their concerns on issues they feel need to be addressed on campus.

Writing Center presents “Write On!”

Feb. 1. 5-6 p.m.

The Writing Center will be hosting a workshop where students can further develop their writing skills. Students who wish to attend this virtual workshop can email ascanlon@iwu.edu for a link and password.

Academic Skills Series continues

Feb. 1 7-8 p.m.

Students can join the Action Research Center for Monday evening workshops to discuss a new study skill. Students who wish to attend should watch the pre-recorded video on the weekly topic at this link before attending. 

IWU and ISU present “Ramen Night”

Feb. 2 7-9 p.m. 

Join the Asian Pacific American Coalition for their first event of the Spring semester. They will be celebrating the culture of cooking and eating ramen with ISU’s APAC via zoom. Ramen ingredient pick-ups will be at ODI earlier that day. Those interested in the event can email apac@iwu.edu for more information.

Winter Break Book Discussion takes place

Feb. 3 4-6 p.m.

Associate Professor of Nursing Amanda Hopkins will be leading the Small Great Things Course Cluster reading and discussion group as part of IWU’s Health, Healing and Humanity theme. 

IWU presents 3D series

Feb. 4 4-5:30 p.m.

The departments of Sociology, Nursing and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) will be virtually presenting the first of IWU’s 3D film series “Racism as a Public Healthcare Crisis.” 

IWU hosts 46th Annual Jazz Festival

Feb. 5 & 6 4:30-5:30 p.m.
IWU’s annual Jazz festival will be hosted virtually this year featuring the top jazz musicians and educators from around the country. More information can be found here.
