Idea Center hosts Valentine’s Day Extravaganza
Feb. 12 4-6 p.m.
Students who are still in need of a Valentine’s Day gift for someone special can go to the Idea Center on Friday which is located in Memorial Center next to Coffee Shoppe. The event will include several do-it-yourself (DIY) activities at no cost to students.
IWU hosts virtual Admitted Student Day
Feb. 13
A series of videos will be available for students to watch on IWU’s website in place of an in-person Admitted Student Day. Students who are interested in attending IWU can schedule a virtual visit or reach out to Greg King (gking@iwu.edu), Dean of Admissions, for more information.
School of Art opens exhibit
Feb. 15
The Joyce Eichhorn Ames School of Art will have “La Ruta: Walter Benjamin’s Last Passage,” by Joanne Diaz and Jason Reblando on display in the Wakeley Gallery. The Atrium Gallery will also have the Women’s Rights are Human Rights display and a selection of posters by Elizabeth Resnick. All exhibitions are free and open to the public. Academic Skills Series continues
Feb. 15
Students can join the Action Research Center’s (ARC) weekly drop-in call on Monday evenings. Each week will focus on a different study skill and this week will be about reading comprehension. Students who are interested in attending should watch the pre-recorded video on the weekly topic here.
Student involvements brings back Enneagram Ashton
Feb 16. 7-8:30 p.m.
This event is one of a four-part series called “Unmasking Your Leadership Potential.” For the first event, Enneagram Ashton will host a virtual workshop on how the Enneagram impacts our work as leaders. This event is sponsored by the Office of Student Involvement, the Hart Career Center, ODI, ORL, CPH, IFC and is free and open to the IWU community.
Student Senate holds general assembly meeting
Feb. 21 6 p.m.
Students are encouraged to attend the General Assembly meetings for the Student Senate where they can voice their concerns on issues they feel need to be addressed on campus.
