Junior Raj Sethi, a member of the men’s golf team at Illinois Wesleyan University hailing from Chandler, Ariz. and representing Arizona College Prep, has been awarded the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men’s Golfer of the Week title for the first time in his career. This announcement came on Wednesday, September 27, marking the second consecutive week that an IWU player has received this prestigious honor. Notably, Sethi joins sophomore Jackson Hulsey as one of IWU’s celebrated award recipients this season.
Sethi’s exceptional performance at the Midwest Region Classic, which took place at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wis. on September 23-24, was characterized by rounds of 71 and 66, ultimately securing him an impressive seven-under-par finish. His stellar showing, highlighted by Sethi’s lowest collegiate career round, propelled him to a remarkable second-place finish among a competitive field of 208 players.
Looking ahead, Sethi and his Illinois Wesleyan teammates are gearing up for their next challenge in Decatur, Ill. This weekend, on September 29-30, they will participate in the South Side Classic, hosted by Millikin University.
